MONLEON DELIVERY

Bristol dream-pop musician Solly Gardner, who releases music under the moniker Monleon, has released new track 'Delivery', a meandering woozy track about drifting through an early-twenties malaise in menial work. The track is a hazy mixture of shoegaze and mellow psych, reverb drenched guitars and subtle electronics are accompanied by a clarinet line played by Harry Irvine (Big Fuss) who also drummed on and mixed the track. Lyrically the song tackles boredom of menial work and a desire for more of a purpose, "it's a song about my latest job as a cycle courier and the conflicting feelings of it being the easiest job I've ever had but it also not being very fulfilling. And in general I guess its about the change of heart from when I was young just wanting the easiest and least stressful job that pays the most but then getting older and realising that's not necessary what's best for me." -Toby Evans-Jesra
